Cookies

We use so-called cookies on our site to recognize repeated use of our services by the same user or internet connection owner. Cookies are small text files that your internet browser stores on your computer. They help to optimize our website and services. These are usually “session cookies” that are deleted after your visit ends.

In some cases, these cookies provide information to automatically recognize you upon your return. This recognition is based on the IP address stored in the cookies. The information obtained is used to improve our services and provide easier access to our website.

You can prevent the installation of cookies by adjusting your browser settings accordingly. Please note that, in doing so, you may not be able to use the full functionality of our website.

For technical reasons, the following data, which your internet browser transmits to us or to our web hosting provider, is recorded (so-called server log files):

  • Operating system used
  • Website from which you visit us (referrer URL)
  • Page(s) you visit on our website
  • Date and time of your access

At the time of registration, your IP address and the date and time of registration will also be stored. This is for our protection in case a third party misuses your data to register without your knowledge.

There is no transfer of this data to third parties, nor is there any comparison with data that may be collected by other components of our site.

Use of Google Analytics with Anonymization

We use Google Analytics, a web analytics service provided by Google Inc., 1600 Amphitheatre Parkway, Mountain View, CA 94043, USA (“Google”).

Google Analytics uses cookies – text files stored on your computer – to help analyze how users use the site. The information generated, such as time, location, frequency of your visits including your IP address, is transmitted to and stored by Google in the United States.

We use Google Analytics with IP anonymization enabled. This means that Google shortens your IP address within EU member states or other parties to the Agreement on the European Economic Area before transmitting it.

Google uses this data to evaluate your use of our site, compile reports for us, and provide other services related to website and internet usage. Google may pass this information to third parties if required by law or if such third parties process the information on behalf of Google.

According to Google, they do not associate your IP address with other Google data. You can prevent the storage of cookies by changing your browser settings. Note that you may not be able to use all features of this website in that case.

You can also prevent Google Analytics from collecting your data via this browser plugin:

Data Security

We use SSL (Secure Socket Layer) encryption during site visits, with the highest level of encryption supported by your browser, typically 256-bit. If not supported, we fall back to 128-bit.

You can tell if a page is encrypted by the closed padlock icon in your browser’s address or status bar.

We also implement appropriate technical and organizational security measures to protect your data from manipulation, loss, destruction, or unauthorized access, and we continuously improve these measures in line with technological developments.
