What more can I say? We were incredibly lucky that our return flight from Lhasa to Kathmandu took us over the Himalayas with clear skies – an experience, wild and unforgettable! The visibility was perfect, with seats on the “right” side, offering a view of Mount Everest and the Potala Palace just after takeoff – a contrast between altitude and clarity.

A Stunning Spectacle

One photo shows Lhotse and Everest perfectly aligned, and during the approach to Kathmandu we were treated to more breathtaking views of the rice terraces – WOW! A spectacle of nature and grandeur that rounded off the moment, raw and overwhelming.
