Iceland – Dyrhólaey Peninsula in Winter
After a short night, we headed out early the next morning – a start, wild and determined. Unfortunately, the weather greeted us with storm and heavy snowfall, a contrast between enthusiasm and challenge, rough and relentless. The first stop was the Dyrhólaey Peninsula, which I had been really looking forward to, to fly the drone and photograph the peninsula from the sea.
Storm and a well-deserved view
The storm made that impossible, but the view from above the cliffs and the black beach towards Reykjavík was well worth the slippery climb up the mountain – a spectacle of nature and effort, fascinating and impressive.
