Iceland – Sandur Plains near Skaftafell National Park
On our way to the Jökulsárlón glacier lagoon, just before reaching Skaftafell National Park, the beautiful black sandur plains appeared—marked by ash and stones from past volcanic eruptions and crisscrossed by many small streams, wild and fascinating. I had been looking forward to flying the drone here for a long time, a moment full of anticipation.
An impressive view from above
The view from above was breathtaking—a contrast between black earth and sparkling streams, rough and delicate, a dance between volcanic past and vibrant nature that stayed deeply rooted in the heart.
