Iceland – Vestrahorn “Batman Mountain”
The rock formation Vestrahorn near Höfn is now widely known, and I’ve been here several times over the years – but this time I stood right at the surf, surrounded by the beautiful black sand dune landscape, wild and fascinating. The sunrise was amazing, seemingly the first nice one in weeks, as the local caretaker said, who’s slowly making a golden nose from the entrance fees for this little piece of earth – a humorous contrast between nature and business.
A Morning Full of Magic
The morning brought a play of light and shadow, raw and delicate, a dance between the rugged rocks and the gentle dunes that touched the soul and stayed in the heart.
