On the first of August, we celebrate Swiss National Day, and here at Lake Constance, we usually enjoy it by the shore with a view of the fireworks — a moment wild and festive. For several years now, climbers have been hanging a huge Swiss flag, said to be the largest in the world, on the Säntis mountain face — a sight that amazes.

A Spontaneous Flight with Marcel

Yesterday evening, after work, Marcel and I made a spontaneous trip from Konstanz to Säntis. We took the drone up high, and the aerial shots captured the red flag against the green mountain backdrop — a contrast of power and delicacy, rough yet harmonious.

A Sight That Stays

Seeing this flag nestled in the natural beauty of Säntis was more than just an image — it’s a symbol swinging between tradition and landscape, deeply rooted in the heart.
