Iceland – Snæfellsnes Peninsula, Day 2

The next day we explored the peninsula further. For sunrise we were back at the Kirkjufell and the waterfall right next to it, then we crossed a stormy, deeply snowed-in pass to the south side – heading for the black church Búðakirkja. It stands in Búðir, a tiny hamlet in the middle of the Búðahraun lava field on the peninsula’s south coast.
