At Christmas we head home again, of course. This morning, after more than two months, I finally had time again to send the drone up for a few aerial shots. Between the drifting banks of fog, the forests between Aulendorf and Altshausen offered a few interesting subjects:
Christmas back home: fog over forest and fields between Aulendorf and Altshausen. The edge of the forest, a winding road and harvested fields.Angular fields in green and brown, the road taking the corner.A narrow path with a hedge divides two brown fields, the trees casting long shadows.Bare broadleaf trees and spruces, thin fog above.Swathes of fog over striped fields at the forest edge. The forest edge in the fog, an open field below. An island of forest in the fog, paths and a meadow at the edge.A crossing of paths in the forest, hoar frost on the branches and fog between them. The crossing almost entirely in fog, only the paths staying clear.A Y-shaped fork in the foggy forest between Aulendorf and Altshausen.Forest edge and field, both half in the fog.Tracks on a frosted field, the fog staying at the edge.Fog drifts over the forest and an open field. The road disappears into the fog, a green field remaining on the left.A hunting stand beside the road, the fields sunk in fog.The road runs into dense fog, dark trees on the left.Spruces poke out of the blanket of fog, bright sky above. Many treetops above a closed blanket of fog.Single spruces emerge from the fog between the trees.A slope of bare trees under drifting fog.A band of fog lies over the mixed forest.A sea of fog to the horizon – the home forests between the swathes.A winding forest track in the fog, a field at the top right.Pale, frosted trunks in the thick fog.Dark spruces, almost entirely swallowed by the fog.
