Hassan II Mosque in Casablanca
On our final evening, we arrived late in Casablanca, just in time to catch our flight home via Zurich the next morning—a farewell, wild and bittersweet. At sunrise, we were determined to visit the world’s second-largest mosque, the Hassan II Mosque, beautifully set on the Atlantic Ocean—a contrast between haste and beauty.
An impressive morning view
Just after sunrise, a soft light bathed the stunning exterior in a golden glow—the mosque itself felt massive, raw and majestic. Unfortunately, we didn’t have enough time to go inside, as it doesn’t open to tourists that early—a moment of awe and surrender. Still, it was a perfect way to close out this incredible journey for Luisa and me!
