Over the long Easter weekend we went to the beautiful Königssee on the Bavarian-Austrian border. I had been here the year before for a shoot with Silvi and Philipp and absolutely wanted to show Luisa this corner. Sadly the weather forecast wasn’t promising, but on Easter Saturday, after arriving in the afternoon, we hiked along the shore and up to a viewpoint despite light rain.

From there we had a beautiful view over the whole Königssee as far as St. Bartholomä. The lake is around 7.7 kilometres long, 1.7 kilometres wide at its widest point and the third deepest in Germany; almost all of it lies within Berchtesgaden National Park, framed by mountains up to 2,700 metres high such as the Watzmann.
