Over the New Year, we headed back to Luisa’s family in Mexico – an escape from damp, cold Germany, filled with Christmas and Lucas’s birthday. We stayed in Airbnbs across Condesa, Roma Norte, Polanco, and Colonia San Rafael, and this time I brought the drone – a fresh perspective on this vibrant city, rough yet warm.

Rooftops and Balconies in Flight

We specifically looked for places with rooftops or nice balconies to conquer the heights. From these nests, the shots took off – from sunrise, when thick smog wrapped the city in a golden shimmer, to late at night, when lights painted the streets like stars. A contrast of haze and glow that captivates.

A Window Over the Neighborhoods

Condesa, Roma Norte, Polanco, San Rafael – each neighborhood told its story from above. Morning brought calm, pierced by a veil of smog, while night unleashed life and color. This perspective, wild and delicate, opened a new chapter of our journey – a view that stays with you.
