In three days each of our drones flew around 120 kilometres, and a correspondingly large number of aerial shots of the salt flats came together. I don’t even want to talk about the sorting. We had hoped the fields would still be full of water, coloured by bacteria, but the season was already too far along: they had been harvested.
Colours in the ground
Even so, the result surprised us. The colours still glowed in the ground, along with beautiful textures of salt crystals and vehicle tracks. Every flight brought new shapes that left us amazed.
Empty pans and flamingos
Some places that looked promising on Google Maps were empty and disappointing on the ground, while others we had expected little of completely captivated us. And then suddenly there were flamingos standing in the red lake. Wow!
