Sunset & Milky Way at Mont Blanc

On our last evening in Chamonix, we witnessed a stunning sunset along the mountain range between Aiguille du Midi and Mont Blanc – a farewell, wild and majestic, a contrast between daylight and altitude. At night, an impressive Milky Way revealed itself, which we could clearly see despite the many streetlights in the middle of Chamonix, raw and surprising.

A Nighttime Photo Journey

So at 2 a.m. we didn’t go to bed but headed out again to take photos – especially the sight of the Milky Way next to Mont Blanc was incredible and has since been hanging as a poster in our living room, a spectacle of stars and memory.
