Hiking in the Dolomites – Day 1
At the end of April/beginning of May, we spent a long weekend hiking in the Dolomites with some friends. I had already been to this beautiful area last year and was eager to return as soon as possible… The weather forecast for our first day in Cortina d’Ampezzo wasn’t very promising, but we got lucky with a three-hour window of dry weather, during which we managed a shorter hike from Cortina up to Monte Cristallo. On the way back, a strong snowstorm rolled in, bringing several centimeters of fresh snow overnight. Luckily, we had our snowshoes ready for the next two days, and the weather was supposed to be great!
When we got back to our accommodation, I went out again with Alaister to capture some photos of the winding mountain roads with the drone.
