From Skógar to Jökulsárlón
On our second day of travel, we drove from Skógar to the glacier lagoon Jökulsárlón – a classic stop we always make, wild and familiar. The weather that day was nothing but wet, probably the rainiest day we’ve experienced in Iceland so far, a contrast between expectation and soaking.
Rain and Special Light
Whether at the Skógafoss waterfall or the black beach of Vík – our clothes were drenched, raw and relentless. Yet the light offered a different perspective, cool and fascinating, a spectacle of nature despite the weather. Now we’re spending a few days at the glacier lagoon before heading east at New Year.
