After our tour of Tuscany between Chianti and Montepulciano, with temperatures still a warm 27 degrees, we went to the sea at Monte Argentario for two nights. We had actually wanted to take the ferry to Elba, but the weather forecast was grey, so it became this small peninsula in south-western Tuscany.
Swimming and flying by the sea
The two nights were enough to dip our feet in the cool sea and send the drone up over the coast. From above, cliffs and waves showed themselves in the light.
Monte Argentario to finish
Monte Argentario became the lovely finale of our trip through Tuscany. The peninsula used to be an island; today three spits of land connect it with the mainland, with two lagoons between them and Orbetello in the middle. Its highest point, Punta Telegrafo, is 635 metres high, and its main villages are Porto Santo Stefano and Porto Ercole.
