Hiking from Schwägalp to Säntis

Over the weekend, Rita and I went hiking toward Säntis — an adventure, wild and determined, with weather only forecasted to hold until Saturday afternoon, but enough time to tackle the roughly 1,200 meters of elevation from Schwägalp to the summit of Säntis on foot, a contrast between effort and goal. The hike was at times really challenging, yet the landscape, especially from Grenzchopf onward, impressed with its grandeur, rugged and overwhelming.

Drone Flight and Summit

As more clouds gathered, I launched the drone in time before we climbed the summit — a spectacle of technology and view. At the top, we enjoyed a well-deserved schnapps before taking the cable car back down to the valley, a relaxing finish.
